History of the church

Esher's oldest building originated in the 13th century and is preserved as an ancient monument. Not used for regular worship. Unrestored church. Brick transept, with gallery pew which was built in 1725-26; this gallery has been taken down. Upper west gallery 1840-42.

Is the present lower gallery a replacement?
